The Federal Government will build 103 additional new Defence homes in Upper Kedron and Everton Park. The first contracts are expected to be signed in March this year. Over the next two years the $32.5 million investment will provide 88 direct local jobs and a further 219 indirectly.
Our Defence families at Enoggera Barracks do a wonderful job for the nation and deserve quality living standards.
An increase in Defence housing will also result in an increase in the supply of residential housing at a time of historically low national rental vacancy. This will assist with improving rental accommodation affordability for the community. It’s a good news story for everyone.
