New Buildings for Brisbane Schools |

| Under the Building the Education Revolution programme, the Federal Government is providing every primary school in Australia with a new building or facilities. |
|
| Eleven schools in the Brisbane electorate have received funding for major new infrastructure projects under Round One of the Primary Schools for 21st Century (P21) programme. |
|
| The schools are: |

| The new facilities will provide improved conditions for the teaching of our children, while their construction will help stimulate the economy and provide jobs. In fact, building at one of the schools – Ashgrove State School – will begin as early as this month. |

| Federal Member for Brisbane Arch Bevis said: “It is wonderful to see our local schools obtaining modern facilities from the Government’s huge investment in education. |

| “And as construction will begin as soon as possible, there will be support for the jobs of local contractors, tradies, truck drivers and small businesses during these difficult times.” |
|
| Round One represents 20% of projects. Applications for Round Two close on 15th May and Round Three close on 10th July. Funding allocations are made on the basis of school enrolments. |
