Building the Education Revolution has received overwhelming support from Australian Primary School Principals.
The Federal Member for Brisbane Arch Bevis said primary schools he visits are universally behind the BER.
“Without exception, every school I visit appreciates that projects they previously only dreamt of, are now becoming a reality through the BER.” Mr Bevis said.
“They recognise the great contribution it makes to the students’ education and to the entire school community.”
Principals see the program as providing ongoing value to their school and school community.
A survey by the Australian Primary Principals Association has shown 97 per cent of principals across all sectors reported that their students would benefit from the BER Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21) Program.
A survey by the Australian National Audit Office has shown that more than 95 per cent of principals believe the infrastructure from the BER will provide ongoing value to their school.
Australian Primary Principals Association President Leonie Trimper said, “The magnitude and scope of the government’s capital investment is unprecedented and primary schools have been waiting for decades for an investment of this size. We need to keep the problems that have been raised in perspective because, for the majority of principals, this is the best thing that has ever happened to primary.”
